Book Your Guided Hike

We are now offering two excursions: Tonsina Trail and Mount Marathon Bowl Trail. Tonsina Trail is a classic favorite amongst locals and ends with a beautiful walk along Resurrection Bay. Explore the Mount Marathon Bowl and gain new vantage points of the city and surrounding waters.

Trips begin May 28th!

Minimum of 2 people per trip.

Note that trips may be shared with other groups,

Tips are not expected, but appreciated!

Tonsina Trail:

Difficulty: Moderate hike. Expect some areas on the hike with steep incline, rocky conditions, and switchbacks.

Price: $100 per person

Length: 3.4 miles out-and-back

Time length: 3.5 - 4 hours

Ages: 7 & up (All children must be accompanied by an adult)

Note: Lowell Point State Recreation Site charges a $5 parking fee not included in your booking. Seward Guided Hikes is not responsible for your parking pass if leaving a vehicle in the parking lot.

Mount Marathon Bowl Trail:

Difficulty: Hard hike. Expect steep inclines, possible muddy, wet and slippery conditions.

Price: $120 per person

Length: 4 miles in length. Hikers should be in moderate shape, as it is a consistently steep and demanding hike.

Time Length: 4.5 - 5 Hours

Ages: 9 & up (All children must be accompanied by an adult)

Important to note: While we encourage hikers of all skill level and experience, we do require all hikers have the level of fitness and health to perform the hike you select. If you are more nervous about hiking, we recommend Tonsina.

Every hike's difficulty ratings and descriptions are approximate and vary based on individual fitness levels and capabilities. The time of the hike may be longer or shorter than listed depending on the speed of the group and the condition of the trails.
